A ride in a Tuk Tuk is one of those must-do experiences whenever you get the chance. Cheaper, faster, and more fun than a cab ride!
For the unaware, Tuk Tuks are basically pedi-cabs with a motorbike in front instead of a bicycle. The driver is up front, and you’re in an open-air backseat. These are ubiquitous throughout Thailand (and many other places in the world), especially within Bangkok.

No meters, just a negotiation up front on the price/drop-off point. No seat belts either – just a few bars to hang onto.
We’d say this is something everyone should experience for themselves, but this video should give a taste of what its like to take a ride!
Bonus footage at the end of our free ferry/shuttle across the Chao Phraya river to IconSiam (a VERY large, brand new shopping mall in Bangkok), and a glorious night view of the city.
