We’ve made a point to try and find Indian food in every country of our journey so far; ranking them along the way (stay tuned). Naturally, we were more than excited to sample the authentic real thing when we visited the country. Also naturally, India secured the top of our rankings for Indian food.
So many different varieties, all of them excellent. During our two week visit to the country we had curry for virtually every meal.
Sometimes we snuck in a samosa, tandoori, or dosa, but curries were always there.
We got one free meal on a train ride – it was curry.
One of our hotels offered free breakfast – curry every morning.
A few times, we even got room service from our hotel – curry, curry, and more curry.
Now – to be clear, there are other food options in India. We saw several places offering Italian or other Western foods, and they do have McDonalds and Starbucks if you’re so inclined. But, in our opinion, why would you have anything but curry during a trip to India!?
