The Philippines is known as an “archipelago” nation, comprised of over 7,000 individual islands. The specific number fluctuates historically (and depending upon who you ask) but the current total per wikipedia is 7,641 islands in total – of which about 2,000 are inhabited.
With all these islands, it goes without saying the country is known for having some of the most incredible beaches in the world. While “white sand” beaches are definitely the most popular, the Philippines is host to just about any kind of beach you can think of – just no cold ones!
During our time in the country, we attempted to visit as many different beaches as we could. We stayed at a few places right on the beach, caught several sunsets at beachside bars, ate meals on popular tourist destinations and explored some very out-of-the-way secluded spots. We even made it to several accessible only by boat.
Enjoy these photos of our many beach trips, but please know we can only do some justice to the beauty of Filipino beaches in pictures alone. To witness the true splendor, you’ll just have to visit yourself!
