Of all the dramatic, beautiful landscapes New Zealand has on offer, Milford Sound may just be the finest. The Sound is a fjord located in the heart of New Zealand’s Fiordland National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage region. Steep mountain slopes and thundering waterfalls flank the edges; and all kinds of marine and bird life can be seen in the tidal estuary at the edge.

Milford Sound Piopiotahe is New Zealand’s most popular tourist attraction, for good reason. Rudyard Kipling once described this place as one of the wonders of the world – and we agree!
Even the 118km (73 mile) road leading up to the waterfront is impressive; but the Sound itself is hard to put into words. Hopefully these pictures do at least some justice, but really you just have to go visit – it needs to be seen to be believed!
