Redwood State & National Parks

Humboldt County, CA

As part of a longer vacation through Northern California we spent 4 days at a Bed & Breakfast in Trinidad, a small and sleepy – very sleepy, the last restaurant closed at 7 pm – seaside town in Humboldt County.

The place was amazing, with ocean views and the sounds of a sea lion colony echoing in the distance.

Seafood was obviously amazing (we had raw Oysters at Trinidad Bay Eatery 3 times) but the real draw to the area was exploring the Redwood State and National Parks. We spent our days hiking throughout the Southern half of the park.

Hard to take a bad photograph in this place!

The Trees
The Seas
Fern Gully – This was awesome, the trail runs directly up the stream
And Trillium Falls – notable as one of the few waterfalls in the area
