Bittersweet news to report – as of now, the Wandering Walleye have completed our world tour and are now back in the USA. While some parts of us wish we could travel forever, it is great to be back home and we’re both ready to begin the next phase of our lives (new jobs, new place, new cars, new dog, kids, etc. etc.).
Trip Statistics:
All said and done, we were on the road for 395 days, 15 hours, 26 minutes, and 44 seconds. Almost 13 months exactly.
We visited 21 different countries across 3 continents.
We travelled a total of 49,089 miles – enough to go around the Earth twice(or 1.97 times if you want to be exact)!
We are incredibly proud of ourselves for saving up, planning for, and sticking out the full extent of our plans for a trip around the world; originally laid over 8 years ago when we were still just dating. The past year has been the experience of both our lives, and the countless memories we’ll now carry with us forever are priceless.
While we are both back in the US now, content will still be published on this blog documenting the remainder of our trip through Europe for the next several weeks.
